It’s a jam-packed May at Twinbrook! Reminders for individual events will be sent out, but following is a round-up of May activities in our school and community.
Tonight 7PM: PTA meeting and Spring Instrumental Music Concert. The short meeting will be in the Media Center. Come learn about upcoming election procedures and hear end-of-year reports from officers. (Date of the election to be announced). The concert will be at 7:30 in the AP room.
This week: Teacher Appreciation Week. Big, big thanks to our teachers and staff for everything they do, and all of their support for the PTA this year.
Friday, May 10, noon: Volunteer Luncheon.
Friday, May 10, 7pm: Outdoor Family Movie Night at the Twinbrook Community Recreation Center. Admission $3 per person. Evening’s movie: Wreck-it Ralph. The PTA will sell refreshments. Contact Colleen Reed if you can help.
Saturday, May 11, 6pm: International Night. It’s finally here! It’s a fun night of culture, food, music and dance. Do you want to contribute a dish, an exhibit, or an act? Please contact the organizers Ymelda Quispe, Mariana Nolan ), or Nancy Castillo.
May 13-17: Scholastic Book Fair. Get a good book for summer and support your school. We can still use volunteers for setup, cleanup, and staffing during the week. Contact Colleen Reed if you can help.
May 16, 8:45am: Coffee and Conversation at Twinbrook.
May 16-17: Kindergarten Orientation. Contact the school office to find out more.
May 16, 5pm-8pm: Restaurant Night at Fuddruckers. Take a break and eat a burger!
May 17: Curriculum Night for Reading. Stop by the last night of the Book Fair too!
May 27: Memorial Day – no school!
