Twinbrook Fun Run: November 14!

ThegetmovincrewHave you heard the buzz? The Twinbrook Fun Run kicked off on Thursday, Oct. 23 at pep rallies during lunch with our special guest Richie the Rocket, Richard Montgomery High School’s mascot. Richie joined our President Colleen Reed to tell the kids all about the Twinbrook Fun
Run and get them pumped up to raise funds for FIELD TRIPS. His signature move, the Blast Off, was a big hit with the kids.

There are no funds included in the school budget for field trips, so the PTA is taking on the task. We’re up to it when we all work together.

Every student brought home details about how this fundraiser works: register your child at www.thegetmovincrew.com and create their very own webpage. Invite family and friends near and far to be part of your child’s fundraising team! Cash and checks sent to school in your envelope are also welcome. We have three weeks to raise $15,000 and make field trips happen this year! We encourage every student to raise $50 or more.

FYI, the student webpages are completely private and coded so a Google search on your child’s name will not bring up the webpage. The only people who can access the webpage are those who receive a link from you.

Please join me and other PTA volunteers most afternoons at school at 2:30 to distribute prizes, collect donations from classrooms and maybe do some silly kazoo/clown nose parades to keep the kids excited. The Fun Run is on Friday, November 14:

9:45 – 10:30 am: Grades K – 2
10:50 – 11:15 am: Morning PreK and Head Start
1:30 – 1:55pm: Afternoon PreK
2:15 – 3pm: Grades 3 – 5
