Spelling Bee and MCCPTA Math Curriculum Night

Spelling Bee

Registration is open for the 4th Annual Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Montgomery County Maryland Chapter (JJMCMC) Spelling Bee and Oratorical Competition. The event will take place at Georgetown Preparatory on February 23, 2013 from 1 pm to 5 pm. The Spelling Bee is open to all Montgomery County first through fifth grade students. The Oratorical Competition is open to middle school and high school students.

We are excited that our event not only promotes literacy, but provides a valuable experience in developing self-confidence — a necessary skill for students’ success in public speaking, performing arts and sports.

Word lists will be emailed to registered participants on January 19th. Registration is limited, so register ASAP! Register online NOW!

MCCPTA Math Curriculum Information Night

MCCPTA is hosting a Math Curriculum Information Night, grades K-12 on January 30 from 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the Carver Auditorium.   This is an excellent opportunity to communicate face to face with the developers of the new curriculum.
