The first PTA meeting of the year is Tuesday, September 6 at 7:00 pm at the school. Master Method Karate Academy will provide free childcare during the meeting. Master Marco Sies will also speak to parents about the before-school program MMKA will offer at Twinbrook, as well as strategies for encouraging children to focus on a task (like homework). There will also be a karate demonstration by the kids to show what they learned!

Mrs. Johnson will speak on curriculum changes, volunteering at the school, and the new Parent Community Coordinator position and will be available to answer questions.

• Back to School Night is planned for September 15 at 6:00 pm at the school. Don’t forget to stop by and see the PTA!
• Restaurant Night at the Silver Diner to benefit the Twinbrook PTA is confirmed for September 22 from 5-9pm. If you haven’t already done so, don’t forget to link your Eat Well, Do Well card to Twinbrook ES!
• The Book Fair is scheduled for October 3–10. We are looking for parents to volunteer to make Book Fair a big victory. Please contact Stephanie Diaz at volunteer@twinbrookpta.org if you are interested.
• The Fun Run is coming up on November 4! We are looking for volunteers, sponsors and donations of prizes and incentives. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and you can help make it a success! Please contact Jennifer Wood at fundraising@twinbrookpta.org.
